Corrie loved to minister to others by cooking and delivering meals to family and friends. She filled her days by crocheting and quilting blankets for those in need. Her most cherished hobbies were baking and the daily jumble puzzle. She was famous within the family for her Norwegian Christmas bread. Everyone loved to listen to Corrie’s memories of her childhood from tales of traveling in covered wagons and working on the family farm to living during the Great Depression.
Corrie had quite a sense of humor and her laugh and sparkle were contagious. She was honored last fall with a Jumble puzzle specially created for her 101st Birthday by Jeff Knurek and a lovely article printed in the Lufkin Daily News.
