Funeral services for Ruth Evelyn Greenwood, age 85, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 1:00 pm Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Sonny McFarland and Rev. Joseph Nix officiating.


Burial will follow at Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Ponta.


Mrs. Greenwood passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010 in Jacksonville.


She was born March 24, 1924 in Cherokee County, Texas.


Mrs. Greenwood was a member of New Emmaus Baptist Church and was retired from Rusk State Hospital as an accountant.


She is preceded in death by her husband Stanley Greenwood, Jr., parents Fulton H. Burton and Ethel Roberson Burton and grandson Jeffery Lee Cleveland.


Survivors include daughters Carolyn Harmon and husband Larry of New Summerfield and Marilyn Cleveland and husband Rickey of Rusk; sister Jenny Lynn Burton of Troup; brother Oscar M. Burton of Troup; sister-in-law Joyce Gardner and husband James of Jacksonville; three granddaughters Angie Harmon Sehorn and husband Jason of Los Angeles, Jennifer Martin and husband Jeff of Woden and Jana Angelley and husband Eric of Little Elm; six great grandchildren Finley Sehorn, Avery Sehorn and Emery Sehorn, all of Los Angeles, Kelcie Martin and Tate Martin of Woden and Sarah Angelley of Little Elm; and several nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be James Greenwood, Larry Harmon, Rickey Cleveland, Eric Angelley, Jeff Martin and Billy McCutcheon. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Davis, John Neill, Larry Wilcox, Robert McGee, Robert Edwards, Joseph Spraggins and James Gardner.


The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Friday, March 5, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
