Funeral services for R. J. Grubbs, age 83, of Frankston, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Frankston with Rev. J. A. Griffin officiating.
Burial will follow at Liberty Hill Cemetery, Frankston.
Mr. Grubbs passed away Thursday, March 4, 2010 in Poynor.
He was born November 14, 1926 in Poynor.
Mr. Grubbs was a member of the Assembly of God, Frankston, retired from the U. S. Air Force with 26 years of service and was a Senior Master Sgt.
He is preceded in death by son Robert Grubbs.
Survivors include wife Hazel Grubbs of Frankston; sons David Grubbs and wife Carolyn of Poynor and Dennis Grubbs of Frankston; daughters Glenda Dixon and husband David of Frankston, Sue Reeves and husband Mike of Austin, Mary Hokit and husband Billy of Frankston and Lori Grubbs of Tyler; sister Louise Cook of Flower Mound; twenty grandchildren; and forty two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.
