Funeral services for Merle Welch, age 82, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2010 at First Baptist Church, Rusk with Rev. Lee Welch and Rev. Johnny Hailes officiating.
Burial will be held at Still Waters Memorial Gardens, Jacksonville.
Mrs. Welch passed away Tuesday, July 13, 2010 in Tyler.
She was born June 18, 1928 in Wichita Falls, TX.
Mrs. Welch was a member of First Baptist Church, Rusk, former pianist at First Baptist Church, Ironton and was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her sister Doris Jones of Tyler.
Survivors include husband Wilson Welch Sr. of Jacksonville; sons Lee Welch and wife Marolyn of Jacksonville and Mark Welch of Dallas; daughters Ruth Ann Hailes and husband Johnny of Greenville and Debra Welch of Jacksonville; seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Mark Welch, Clay Petzold, Adam Hailes, Brad Tyson, Chris Colby and David Thorman.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, July 16, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
