Funeral services for Chester Patton, age 73, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Rev. Larry Smith officiating.
Burial will be held at Earle’s Chapel Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Mr. Patton passed away Thursday, July 15, 2010 in Tyler.
He was born December 12, 1936 in Jacksonville, TX.
Mr. Patton was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in the Corine Community, served in the United States Army and was retired from East Texas Division of CenterPoint Energy.
He is preceded in death by his parents Willie and Letha Patton, brother Ray Patton and sister-in-law Wanda Patton.
Survivors include wife of 52 years Jan Patton; daughter Tammy Minton; granddaughter Candyce Ranee Taylor and husband Kevin; great granddaughters Melonnie Lofton and Maryssa Lofton; great grandson Jordyne Taylor, all of Jacksonville; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jim Kolb, Lewie Lake, Gerald Gray, Carroll McGregor, Glenn Smith and Dean Harvey.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 pm Friday, July 16, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
