Funeral services for Lafayette Morrison Ray Thompson, age 75, of Jacksonville, are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home chapel, Jacksonville with Steven Oaks officiating.
Burial will follow at Mixon Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2010 in Tyler.
She was born November 22, 1934 in Cherokee County, TX.
Mrs. Thompson was a member of the Church of Christ and was a secretary.
She is preceded in death by her parents Willis J. Morrison and Callie Jane Waller Morrison, and 1st husband Clyde Ray, Jr.
Survivors include husband Leland Thompson of Jacksonville; sons Jeff Ray and wife Vickie of Jacksonville and Travis Thompson and wife Kacey of McCalla, AL; daughter Karen Ray of Jacksonville, Debbie Huffman and husband Robert of Jacksonville, and Tammy Webb and husband Dennis of Barnhart, TX; sisters Mary Adams and husband Howard of Concord and Nancy Bolton and husband Jimmy of Gallatin; twenty five grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Cody Webb, Jeremy Thompson, Larry Martin, Eric Bolton, Jerry Bolton, Donnie Ray, Jarod Oaks and Jay Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons and Matthew Robertson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday, July 30, 2010 at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
